I have to admit, I skipped the Midsummer Fire Festival last year because... well... I was lazy. I couldn't be bothered with all the riding around that would be involved to visit all the fires. In 12 months, I'm not sure that my attitude has changed. I don't think all the riding around is really for me. Maybe if I have trouble sleeping, I might give it a shot, otherwise, I'm content with paying Lord Ahune a daily visit to pick up my [Satchel of Chilled Goods] for the Frost Emblems.

I've actually found Lord Ahune to be quite useful, particularly for my Paladin tank that I recently got to level 80. Lord Ahune drops some nice iLvl 232 cloaks, and good cloaks can be hard to come by.

For my tankadin the [Icebound Cloak] was a nice upgrade, and will probably be with me for quite some time. Actually, I'd say it's the best tanking cloak you'll find outside of raids, so if you're gearing up a tank, go smack Lord Ahune in the face until this drops.

In case you didn't know, you can farm the holiday boss all day if you like. The cloaks keep dropping, however you'll only get the [Satchel of Chilled Goods] for the first kill of the day.

For new level 80 hunters there is also a really nice +agility cloak that drops from Lord Ahune that should tide you over until you are into ICC or have enough Frost Emblems for the [Recovered Scarlet Onslaught Cape].
